The Spring wedding fayre season is almost over and it's time to look back and review how we got on. Well... that's pretty easy as this year we only took part in the Midland Wedding Show (so far, we have more fayres in mind for the autumn), although we did attend a few more as visitors!
Didn't you say no shows this Spring?
Yes, we did say no shows this Spring. We only confirmed our place at this fayre at the very last minute, as we initially decided to wait until Autumn time before exhibiting our collections. We thought that by waiting we would give ourselves time to focus on producing the number of collections we had in mind initially (what a silly thought, we even ran out of space to show the ones we have now, we definitely couldn't have squeezed anymore in!). But instead, I only went and booked us in as exhibitors one week before the show...ONE WEEK! So we spent every night of that week painting, printing, measuring, building, spray painting and it's been so hard and a catastrophe for out 'healthy' regime (yes, I ate pizza 4 days in a row as I didn't want to waste any time cooking! and one day I even had a few slices for breakfast...).
But we managed, and seeing our designs finally all up on the shelves and next to each other, has given us great pride. We achieved so much in these past few months and we worked extremely hard to get here. But we did it! So, enough about us, let's talk about the show. The venue (the Holte suite at Villa Park) was actually quite pretty with some amazing tiled flooring. We arrived at around 7.30am and we started setting up our stand straight away, it only took us about 2.5 hours to finish, but there we were, ready for our brides-to-be and their companions at 10.30am!
There was such a great array of exhibitors and the place was buzzing as soon as the doors opened. Loads of lovely brides-to-be to chat to and a genuinely friendly and exciting atmosphere. We spoke to so many brides and they all had some really exciting ideas for their weddings. I look forwards to the autumn edition of this wedding fayre!
